Coconut coir is found between the husk and the outer shell of coconuts. There are a wide variety of products made from this coconut fiber husk besides Cocopeat and Coconut Fiber, such as Coconut Rope and Coconut Sheet.
Beside coir, we can process another coconut part into other useful products such as Coconut Copra, Dessicated Coconut and Virgin Coconut Oil.
Coconut copra, dried coconut that is dried in direct sunlight for 5 to 7 days. We use copra for manufacturing natural cooking oil and as a substitute for avtur fuel.
Desiccated coconut is coconut that is dried as an aroma enhancer in the manufacture of chocolate bars or can also be used as biscuits, sweets, bread and as cake decorations.
Virgin Coconut Oil
Coconut oil, also known as coconut butter, is a tropical oil with many applications. Usualy it’s extracted from copra (dried coconut) but Virgin coconut oil is derived from fresh coconuts (rather than dried, as in copra).
